The Perfect Pour: Elevated Glassware and Sky-High Foam Domes
The only thing we love more than enjoying well-crafted beer is sharing it with friends in our cozy taproom. We wanted to ensure that the same amount of passion and craftmanship that goes into making our beers is also going into the way you enjoy them. This means better glassware with traditional pours for maximum aroma and flavour. Hoppy, hazy, crisp, or clear, we have a glass for that.
Kölsch Stange
0.2L traditional stange glasses are a necessity for the humble and beloved Kölsch. Regardless of if you’re joining us for a full round of traditional Kölsch Haus service, or you’re simply wetting your whistle with a quick drink, a stange is the only way to go. It’s perfectly portioned and maintains the beer’s ideal carbonation but more importantly, that’s how it's served in the birth place of Kölsch - Köln!
Pilsner Tumbler
Tall, slender glassware that enhances the delicate balance of the lager style. You have to try it to believe it, but a lagered beer legitimately tastes better out of this glass. It also looks incredible. For the ultimate experience, ask your taproom server for a slow pour Pils! Buckle in, you’re about to go for a ride!
Czech Mugs
Full 0.5L Czech style glassware provides a true Czech experience. Hefty in the hand and easy on the eyes, it’s best experienced in conjunction with one of our three traditional pour styles on the side-pull tap: Hladinka, Šnyt, and Mlíko.
Belgian tulip
The shape and the massive headspace on these shapely glasses maximize the sensory experience of aroma-forward beers (IPAs, fruited sours, other experimental beers). Amplified flavour and aroma results in proved enjoyment by a proven 420% (trust us).
Willi Becher
This classic shape is suitable for many-a-beer style and we use it as our jack of all trades glass. Our upgraded version not only looks sleek, but it has significantly more headspace allowing for proper foam domes.
WhAT’s with the foam domes?
Most of us grew up thinking foam was the enemy: an indication of a bad pour or warm beer. While this may be the case if you’re drinking Corporate Lager out of the back of a pickup truck kegerator, that’s absolutely not the case with quality. In fact, it’s the opposite: Foam is flavour!
Foam dome not only looks dope, but it also allows for the flavour and aroma to be properly expressed. Take a minute to enjoy a whiff and you’ll notice the dense foam has its own pleasant and refreshing aroma, and the resulting beer itself smells brighter and hoppier because of this style of pour! The mouthfeel is also a bit softer due to the slightly lower carbonation, and with less carbonation the resulting beer tends to be more quaffable. All in all it takes your beer to the next level, which is the only place it should be!
