Job Description:

The Establishment Brewing Company is looking for a passionate individual to join the Est Brew Crew to assist with production and delivery of beer. The Establishment has a non-compromising commitment to quality, and we don’t discriminate against beer styles.

This role is primarily a production assistant and delivery driver, but tasks may also include the occasional taproom shift (weekends) and some external event type stuff (cask tapping, event set up, pouring beers at samplings/events, etc).

This role has the potential to transition into a full-time brewer/production assistant… and beyond. This is not a casual labour position, we’re looking for someone who is dedicated and passionate about building a career in the craft beer industry.

The ideal candidate is a hardworking, energetic, friendly, motivated, self-starter, and most importantly a quick learner. It’s important to have the strength to lift 50L kegs with swift grace and elegant ease (to make owners Mike and Dave look like a bunch of puny weaklings).

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Be a positive brand ambassador for The Establishment Brewing Company

  • Learn about and be knowledgeable about our current and upcoming projects

  • Match our passion for beer and uncompromising commitment to quality

  • Be stoked about working in the craft beer industry!

  • Assist with packaging, brewing preparation, brewing, cellaring, and barrel management

  • Brewery cleaning and maintenance

  • Deliver beer in Calgary, Edmonton and surrounding areas

  • Participate in external beer tasting and promotional events (setup/sampling/etc.)

  • Assist in managing product inventory

  • Keg washing, tank washing and following specific SOPs (standard operating procedures)

  • Other duties as required

Basic Qualification:

  • Over 18 years of age

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to move ~150lbs

  • Deep knowledge of the brewing process (previous pro brewing experience is a huge asset)

  • Science/technical based education a huge asset

  • BJCP or Cicerone certification is a strong asset

  • Current valid Pro Serve Certification

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
