In a deeply personal journey, Tys travels across the country to learn from other transgender people about how they create community, home and spaces to thrive.Trans Canada was filmed in the fall of 2025 in various geographical regions in Canada, and with a variety of demographics. The goal was to showcase the lives of "regular" transgender people, so that viewers may see themselves in the subjects.
