Join us on Tuesday, March 29 at 7:00 pm at the taproom for an intimate screening of the film, Fanny: The Right To Rock, presented by our friends at the Calgary Queer Arts Society.
Fanny is the true story of the most badass all-female rock band you've probably never heard of. After years of fighting to prove themselves worthy of respect by the male zeitgeist of rock & roll, Fanny was about to break through in the mid-70s with their biggest Billboard Top 40 hit, “Butterboy”, a song penned by Jean and inspired by her heated affair with David Bowie. But sadly the exhausted and disheartened band split up before they even found out that the song was a hit.
Fanny: The Right to Rock is an all-ages screening, and the film is rated PG, with some mature subject matter and coarse language. Click here to watch the trailer.
Doors open at 6:00 pm for beers & bites, and the film will start at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10.00, and once you have your tickets, email rich@establishmentbrewing.ca to reserve a table.
