Cherry Sour with VanillA, 4.5% ABV | Kool-Aid Jammers, Pie Crust, Cool Whip
This is a nostalgic, jammy, cherry-pie-cooling-on-a-window-sill typa kettle sour. In keeping with its precursors (Jam Rock & Pump Up The Jam), it’s packed with borderline too much fruit, jusssst enough vanilla, and pours out looking like the precious jewel it is.
Malt: Pilsner, Caramel Steam, Flaked Oats, Malted Oats, Munich II, Chit
Fruit: Organic Dark Cherry Puree, Bourbon Vanilla
Yeast: Escarpment Labs Kolsch
About the Beer:
The only reason to mess with a good thing is to make another good thing, like this beer! It’s everything that rules about Jam Rock, so expect another kettle sour that rocks. In keeping with its precursor, we packed it with borderline too much fruit and jusssst enough vanilla. In this case, the kick comes from cherries instead of blackberries and we actually took the ABV down a notch for a change.
As saturated in colour as it is in flavour, it pours out looking like the precious jewel it is. If you like a good chica cherry cola (or just get that reference), you’ll probably dig this beer. Not because it tastes super similar, but it’s got a similarly nostalgic, cherry-pie-cooling-on-a-window-sill vibe. Make your day, come try it for yourself.
